Lucky with the weather yet again! We all had fun last Saturday at our annual BBQ.

Our new committee and wish list

We've just voted on our new committee. We welcome three new members; Jo, Dave and Julie. Unfortunately we say goodbye to Andy, Antoinette, Hilary and Fiona. I stay on as Chairman and Steve, Elaine and Emma join us again.

Also give us your ideas for new kit we should buy! We'll try and raise the money from somewhere.

Now casting for November

If you want to do some acting with us, now is a great time to get in touch. I'm directing this November and I'm looking for people to get involved with my chosen play, 'Seeds of doubt' by Peter Gordon.

"The latest play from the author of the popular Out of Focus is set in the garden of Alan and Claire's suburban house. While Alan attempts to tend his vegetable plot, his peace of mind is lumbered not only with his impending fortieth birthday, but also because he harbours suspicions about Claire's fidelity. The sanctity of his garden initially provides some respite though is soon further upset by the ongoing squabbles of their next door neighbours Jill and Dave. When a secret message falls into the wrong hands, a chain reaction of events begins which takes in not only the two couples but also two other friends, the well meaning but inept Derek and Sarah, recently separated from her husband. Alan's concerns are temporarily eased by a surprise birthday party, but the evening's events only serve to throw the other relationships into turmoil and sow the seeds of doubt for everybody!"
